Since the late 19th century, Campari has been responsible for some of the most distinctive and innovative imagery created in Italy.

As part of our long-standing partnership with the Melbourne International Film Festival, Campari is launching Posters to Production – an initiative to turn unmade films into movie posters to crowdfund the film’s creation.

Unveiled at MIFF at the Campari Cinema Lounge, the posters will take inspiration from the iconic Campari style, and feature a QR code to help crowdfund their creation.

Throughout its history, Campari has always collaborated with icons to inspire unforgettable creations. During the early 1900s, Campari partnered with some of the most celebrated poster designers of the day such as Leonetto Cappiello, Marcello Dudovich, Adolfo Hohenstein, and Marcello Nizzoli.

Campari also has a prominent history in cinema culture, having first collaborated with Italian director Federico Fellini in 1984. Campari has continued to cement their position at the forefront of the arts and innovation by working with iconic directors to tell unique and inspiring stories, encouraging their audience to explore their inner creativity and passions.

Campari is launching Posters to Production, an initiative to turn unmade films into movie posters to crowdfund the film’s creation. Through a nationwide callout, emerging filmmakers can share their film synopsis to be turned into film posters.

Taking inspiration from the iconic Campari style, each poster will be designed based on the filmmaker’s synopsis. Every poster will feature a QR code where funds can be donated to help the film’s creation.

Campari recognises that one of the biggest barriers aspiring filmmakers face is finding funds to turn their film idea into a reality.

Campari is seeking to break down the barrier filmmakers face when trying to seek funding to bring their synopsis to life, to support the next generation of Australian cinema.

Entries are open from 21 to 30 June 2023.

Yes, any emerging filmmaker who is currently crowdfunding for their original film to be created can apply.

Only applicants with an existing GoFundMe can apply. You are welcome to set up your own GoFundMe as part of applying.

 

 

Campari will unveil the posters at the Campari Cinema Lounge at this year’s Melbourne International Film Festival.

For those not attending the festival in person, the posters will be available for Australians to view the posters digitally, then click-out to the respective GoFundMe pages to donate.
